UK Businesses
If you are a Small or Medium-sized Enterprise or a third-sector organisation, you probably know all about the potential benefits from a sustainable approach to how you run your business.
According to the UK Net Zero Business Census 2024, 73% of respondents said that net-zero would be a medium or higher priority for their business strategy within the next 12 months. An even greater proportion, 80%, said that they were prioritising wider sustainability goals, with a particular awareness around the benefits to public perception and reputation, and customer engagement. Encouragingly, almost half of respondents had set net-zero targets to be achieved within a 10-year timeframe.
For a business, understanding the impact that your activities have on the environment, and evidencing what you are doing about that, is now proving to be essential if you are serious about engaging with your customers. At the same time, it is becoming ever more likely that those customers will want to know what you are doing to reduce your carbon footprint and your impact on the environment.
However, understanding what this means in practice, and what you actually need to do, is not always obvious.
If you have already implemented a sustainability strategy, or set a net-zero target, then that’s a great start. Maybe you could now use some advice on how best to deliver that strategy over the long term, and where to best focus your efforts?
Or maybe you want to do something but simply don’t know where to start.
